Founder/Chief Executive Officer
Simon graduated from Swansea University, UK, with a BSc (Hons) degree in Zoology. After 4 years of sales in London, he broke out of the rat race and travelled extensively throughout Southeast Asia. During this time he developed his love of scuba diving and became a PADI Divemaster on Sipadan island in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. Simon continued on his travels to Cairns, Australia where he started his underwater filming career. In 1996 he returned to Sabah where he founded Scubazoo and invited fellow cameraman Jason Isley to join him.
After diving extensively throughout Southeast Asia, UK and South Africa, logging well over 1000 dives on the way, Simon hung up his fins. As company CEO Simon now continuously plans the growth and direction of Scubazoo, developing broadcast opportunities and building strong partnerships with like-minded companies and individuals. Simon’s drive, passion and commitment have led to Scubazoo becoming one of the worlds most high profile underwater filming companies, bringing our images to a global audience.
When he’s not working Simon can be found on the squash court or relaxing with his son Jack and wife Clare.
