GILBERT WOOLLEY
Photo Library Manager
After graduating from Plymouth University with a Bsc in Biological Sciences Gil immediately joined Oxford Scientific Films as part of their picture library team. From his initial position as Picture Researcher he worked his way up to Editor, then Library Manager, and finally Creative Director of the larger PhotoLibrary Group. Eventually, after 12 years of looking at beautiful photos of nature, he finally decided it was time to see more of the world himself. Shortly after that epiphany Gil was settling in Sabah to set up and run the Scubazoo Photo Library.
Once in Sabah, Gil quickly obtained his Dive Master qualification and now averages over 200 dives a year, not bad as he is trapped in the office all week! Any free time is spent leading dives in the nearby Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park or exploring the underwater world of South East Asia, armed with a camera.
