Production manager

Edgar studied in Bath, England where he obtained a Business Diploma. During a varied career he worked for British, Japanese and German conglomerates in the fast moving consumer line and luxury cars before getting himself into real estate and landing in film locations and productions in 1987.

Edgar has successfully scouted locations throughout Sarawak and worked as production manager for several features including Farewell to the King (Orion),The Sleeping Dictionary (Fine Line),The Intended (IFC ) and  Sacred Planet (Disney/IMAX) – a feature length documentary narrated by Robert Redford. His networking contacts with the government and private sector coupled with his talent for recruiting local crew, talent, and fixing logistics have proved invaluable to productions time and time again.

Music and film are Edgar’s main passions in life. A complete film buff, with a vast DVD and music CD collection, Edgar loves to travel, read and write, listen to rock, jazz and world music and was a fellow founder of the yearly Rainforest World Music Festival in Kuching.
