Stock Library Intern

Scubazoo are looking for young, motivated individuals to join our stock footage and photography team in Kota Kinabalu. Applicants should be:

• College student or recent college graduate
• Students of biological sciences or interested in marine life

Details of the position:

• Full time (40 hours/week)
• Unpaid
• Duration of 12 weeks
• Intern responsible for travel expenses
• Preference will be given to Malaysian candidates

The position is unpaid. Interns will work under our stock footage and stock photo library managers, gaining experience in skills such as keywording, CMS, basic photoshop, Final Cut Pro editing and more. This is a great opportunity to learn real world skills and work as part of a team in a dynamic business environment.

Island Videographer

We do not have any open positions at this present time. However we are always interested in hearing from any aspiring underwater video-camera operators looking to work in our island-based studios.

We would like to hear from experienced divers who are passionate about the underwater world and interested in learning how to capture the fascinating marine environment on film. Successful applicants will be taught the Scubazoo method of filming and will ultimately look after and run a Scubazoo island film studio based in a dive resort in either Malaysia or the Maldives.

For us to seriously consider an application you should be able to answer yes to all of the following:

• I have a good knowledge or passion for natural history and the marine world;
• I have a biological sciences education/background/serious interest;
• I have an interest/experience in video/photography
• I have good social and sales skills
• I’m prepared to work long hours and have an open minded attitude to life
• I’m prepared to work on small isolated islands and abide by resort protocols and regulations
• I’m resourceful & creative, with good time management/organisation skills
• I’m under 30 years old, single, have no ties at home and am able to commit to a minimum 1 year contract
• I speak fluent English (preference will be given to multilingual candidates)
• I am a competent diver, qualified to PADI Divemaster level (or equivalent) and have 200+ dives
