Footage Library Manager

 

Scubazoo are looking for an enthusiastic new team member to manage their footage library in Kota Kinabalu starting March 2017. The positions main roles include;

  • Negotiation and sale of footage to local and international clients
  • Writing license agreements and understanding footage requirements (technical and conceptual)
  • Ingesting and cataloging new footage
  • Management and maintenance of existing footage
  • Basic editing for online sales use
  • Writing of descriptions and keywords
  • Research and selection of footage for in-house editing use

Ideal candidates would fit the following criteria;

  • Exceptionally organised
  • Able to self manage time and work to deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Fluent English written and spoken
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous sales and negotiation experience is preferred
  • Interest in nature, wildlife and film
  • Confident working alone
  • Malaysian candidate preferred

The position is full time (42hour/week) with a starting salary of RM3,000/month. Previous experience is preferred but full training will be given. Willingness to learn and quick to adapt are essential.

Scubazoo Intern

Scubazoo are looking for young, passionate, motivated individuals to work with our team in Kota Kinabalu. Applicants should be:

  • College student or recent college graduate
  • Students of biological sciences
  • Qualified SCUBA divers with a passionate interest and knowledge of the marine world

Details and pre-requisites of the position:

  • Full time (40 hours/week)
  • Unpaid
  • Duration of 12 weeks
  • Interns must display a good command of spoken and written english.
  • Interns must have an established knowledge of marine and terrestrial wildlife and the environment.
  • Interns must have a good computer skills and computer databases.
  • Interns are responsible for all personal and diving insurance cover, travel and accommodation expenses
  • Interns must prove themselves medically fit with no outstanding medical issues.
  • Preference will be given to Malaysian candidates but all nationalities welcome.

The position will mostly involve general office based work at our headquarters in Kota Kinabalu attached to either our video or photo library departments. The work can be varied and includes key wording video library footage and photos, transcribing interviews, DIT management, footage search for in house post production projects or for clients.

Work Experience is offered on a first-come first-served basis.  Work in the field is by no means guaranteed but opportunities may arise during your stay where by you may be offered the chance to work with other departments and assist on field projects in some capacity.
